This 2015 Bomag BW 161 ADO-5 is a fifth-generation articulated tandem roller with a vibrating front drum and a TanGO oscillating rear drum. Oscillation keeps the drum in constant contact with the asphalt, giving even compaction on thin layers, joints and bridge decks without drum hop, while the front drum delivers the deep compaction needed on base and binder courses.
